Samoa has two IP address ranges allocated to it:
202.4.32.0/19 : 4096 host address space
203.99.255.0/24 : 254 host address space
202.4.32.0/19 is connected to the Internet through Teleglobe's Lake Cowichan satellite earth-station on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The circuit is mostly likely through Intelsat 701 which is located in geosynchronous orbit at 180E. In April 2001 the capacity of the satellite connection was upgraded to 2Mb/s incoming (from 256kb/s) and 256kb/s outgoing (unchanged).
203.99.255.0/24 is no longer used. It used to be serviced by Telstra from Australia.
Gateway services to the Internet within Samoa are managed by Samoa Communications a government owned body.
There are three Internet Service Providers operating in Samoa: lesamoa.net, samoa.ws and ipasifika.net, all of whom connect to the Samoa Communications backbone at 128kb/s
