ENTRY INTO SAMOA
This document is issued as a guide to applications for Samoan visas by the New Zealand High Commission in London. It should only be considered useful by those wishing to obtain visas from within Europe.
1. VISITORS to Samoa with an intended stay not exceeding 30 days do not require entry permits prior to arrival provided that valid travel documents are held, together with onward or return tickets and evidence of sufficient funds held to provide for the duration of the stay.
2. Persons wishing to enter Samoa for the purpose of business, education training, or pleasure for a period exceeding 30 days, or to take up an offer of employment from a sponsor in Samoa, are required firstly to make application for an entry permit prior to the travellers' departure.
For details on how to obtain an entry permit, fee payable, forms needed, you will need to contact the Samoan Embassy in Brussels, Belgium:
Embassy of SamoaAvenue Franklin D Roosevelt 123

Those wishing to take up an offer of Employment must provide a copy of the document from the person or organisation in Samoa offering the employment.
Those wishing to undertake a Medical "Elective" must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance from the hospital in Samoa.
Applications for a permit must be lodged at least 2 months prior to the planned departure date. (It is not always possible for the authorities in Samoa to authorise the issue of a permit in a shorter time. This should be taken into account when making travel arrangements.)
3. Please note it is not the practice of the Samoan authorities to grant applications for permanent entry. Under the Immigration Act a permit may not be issued for a longer period than six months in the first instance. In practice it is not usual for 3 months to be exceeded, although a visitor may apply for an extension of his/her permit.
